YTB - Your Travel Biz

I am still waiting on my YTB money! I have been in for 9 months and it has been a waste of time and initial investment money so far. I got a pretty card with my picture on it but the card doesn't seem to mean much. Hotels have almost laughed me out of their lobbies so far when I pull the card out. Very disappointed so far.

I joined YTB to make money......and guess what? I am, making money. I approached this as a business, which it is. I dedicated at least 1-2 hours a day to it in either booking travel, or marketing in some way. Once my friends and family found out that I had a travel website they began coming to me to make their vacation plans. Some book on their own, others do not have computers so I book for them. It has been a great financial boost for me. Perhaps those who were not successful should have focused on the business end instead of the windfalls from discount travel. This is a business folks, not a get rich quick scheme.

I joined in hopes I could take a break and travel for less than it would cost me as a 'normal' person. Wrong!!! Most of the dates you want to travel are blocked by the hotels, car rentals, and airlines. Actually, ALL the dates and times I tried to get were blacked out.

YTB was a total waste of money for me. No travel benefits and no money in return for me. You have to get into the MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline)., go out and talk to people and get them to sign up before you can even think of making money. I was promised I didn't have to do that crap to make money, but it was a lie.

I am in YTB and I have signed up a few of my ex-friends. They no longer talk to me and claim YTB is full of thieves. That is simply not true. They all thought YTB was a free ride and they would make mountains of cash with very little work on their part. YTB is just like anything else in life you expect to receive a lot of money from ... you must perform some work to reap the benefits. I have yet to see a huge payday with YTB, but I do see a payday. And my paydays have been steadily increasing over time. A lot of the MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline). stuff is 'fake it til you make it' but I refuse to buy into that philosophy. This may be why I am slowly increasing my profits versus quickly increasing my profits.

I signed up and just let all my membership expire. I didn't get any deals on hotels, flights, car rentals, etc. Many of the vendors were unavailable every time I went to the site to attempt to use them. Joining for the sole purpose of receiving HUGE discounts doesn't work ... at least it didn't work for me.

Instant travel agent ... NOT! My friend signed up for YTB and received her travel agent ID card. She has yet to see any of the huge discounts advertised during her weekly meetings. She said everyone in the meetings are so excited and jumping up and down like they are in church. Secretly, she talks to people and they all say they are "faking it until they make it!" These fools even drive cars they can't afford, take you to dinners they can't afford, just to trick you into thinking they are doing well in the business. Sounds like this crap would be illegal, but they keep popping up!
