YTB - Your Travel Biz
Anyone signed up for this MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline). yet? I signed up and paid all the startup costs. Once I got in, I noticed the company was not all it was hyped up to be. It was still better than the other one I had joined and quit, Quixstar. YTB pays more and provides a website for its members to advertise.
However, they fall back to the normal MLM crap before long. You have to go to the meetings, you have to physically get out and talk to people, etc. They promise you can use the web sites to market, but that is a lie.
The company is traded on Wall Street so I do have confidence it is a real company and not lying about paying people. However, the face to face badgering of potential new members is sickening!

I Got Got big time with this MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline).! I have canceled my YTB store finally by just letting my one year pass. This was one of the biggest rip offs I have ever seen. The people sat right in my face and lied about all the travel benefits of YTB. I used some of my retirement money to pay the startup costs and I am totally pissed right now. No travel benefits and all they want me to do is find other old people like myself to get on conference calls so they can be tricked into joining YTB!
A friend of mine got into this, after a few weeks of booking costly flights and getting people signed up. When she checked her statement, she had made a measly amount of money. I think she stopped.
I had a completely different experience from most of the posters here. I joined to make it a business. I treat it as a business. I work on my business as hard as I work on my job. I treat it the same way as if i had a storefront. That is the key.
Last year I had the first debt free Christmas in over 20 years. I wasn't rolling in dough but my Christmas was very comfortable with no bills being due in January and February as in previous years.
I sold TRAVEL. That was my focus. As a result I gained customers and business partners. I have booked cruises, group travel, resorts, even a High School Senior trip. this year I was able to take advantage of some travel discounts as well. but it wasn't my FOCUS. Anyone who joins my team that is what I tell them. that is how I mentor them. This is how I have been mentored.
So for those who didn't succeed, I say give it another try but try a different attitude. Focus on the BUSINESS not the PERKS.
Don't work it as a get rich quick scheme because it isn't and as you experienced, you won't be successful that way.

I would never have the time for an MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline)., I barely have time to now keep catching up on other things to deal with. Are all MLM's like this?
