Female members of some itinerant home repair fraud groups are known to have come to the doors of elderly North Carolina home owners claiming that one of them is about to have a child and otherwise needs assistance. They ask to come inside and use the telephone. While one is on the telephone pretending to call for help, the other one, who pretends to be in distress, asks to use the bathroom.
