What About The Sell Your Gold Ads?
I keep seeing these ads on TV about people wanting you to send in your old gold and they will send you back money. COME ON! Isn't this a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; ? It can't be legit. I mean who would send their gold to someone they don't know and then expect them to send back money. Surely no one is falling for this one?

I would tend to agree with you on this one. Gold's value is way up now and you can get more for your gold now than you could a few years back. However, why would you mail it off in hopes of getting money back? Have them send you the money first, then you send the gold!
I'm sure there are local jewelers or even the crooks at the pawn shops who could give you money for your gold on the spot versus sending it in the mail. I am interested to hear from someone who has actually tried this one.
Actually the Cash4Gold one is the real thing. Our local paper did a blind test just to see if any of these places were legit. They mailed something to three different companies after having the item appraised. Cash4Gold was the only one that gave them the same appraisal value and offered the most cash for the gold.
I would never send any gold through the mail and wait for a check. Are they kidding. I am sure it would not even make its way to the company.
I have some gold I want to send in. How much are they giving out for gold in the mail nowadays?
One of the local jewelers in this area is advertising on TV to buy up your gold. You don't mail it to them. I would be real leery of doing that. They want you to bring it in. They appraise it weigh it and then give you cash for it. Little less risky I would think.
Now that makes more sense. Take it to somebody locally, preferably a jeweler. The pawn shops would be my 2nd choice after a local jeweler if I were looking to unload some gold.

In my area, there are actual gold parties. The company brings food in and the host gets a percentage of all the gold that their guests sell. I think that seems interesting. The mark up of the gold must be amazing.
That sounds like fun. I have never heard of a gold party. Gold seems to be the only form of currency that doesn't depreciate and it has been around forever.
I really am not sure whats up with these either. It seems like everyone and their aunt is a gold farmer, in online games, on the TV, anywhere. No matter what it is, you can get cheap gold from someone online or you can sell your gold offline and get rich.
