Vonage - no credit for friend
I fell for an ad by Vonage that promised me 3 months free service by getting a friend to sign up. Well she did sign up after some trouble and now I am told that I can't get the creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. because she didn't sign up online. She couldn't sign up online because the link wouldn't work and they advised her to do it over the phone. They got her - I got nothing.

Something much like this happened to a close friend of mine and upon my urging, she argued her case back and forth with the people at Vonage. They finally gave up and gave her the 3 months creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. that she was promised in the ad.
It might depend on the service they had at the time. I know most will state early on that they must signup by phone or website so that no one is confused by this later down the line.
This happened to me with Chase Bank and referrals. They said they needed to verify that I did have an account and they called once so I missed the call. They never called again and when I called up to ream them out they said I had to just wait for the call to verify again!!!!
I've had similar things happen too, because creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. for referral was only granted through a sign up method that didn't work. I have to assume that it was deliberate that the sign up method was never meant to work.
Many companies cheatBetrayal, a form of deception or dismissal of prior presumptions, is the breaking or violation of a presumptive social contract (trust, or confidence) that produces moral and psychological conflict within a relationship amongst individuals, between organizations or between individuals and organizations. this way by providing a flawed signup process. I am surprised a company like Vonage would do this. Maybe that's how they keep their pricing so low ... not paying out the referrals.

I had once referred someone to a VOIP service I was using and because my friend spelled my last name (married name) incorrectly, they did not catch it and she did not get creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. nor did I.
