Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance

Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance

Vanderbilt Mortgage and Loan in Marysville, TN, is one of the biggest crooks in the mortgage and finance industry.

We had a mobile home financed through them, and even though we were paying our mortgage on time, almost every day they would call and harass us about something. One time, they said they didn't have proof of insurance on the home, so we faxed them our insurance policy. And do you believe that, even though we had the required amount of coverage, they started charging us for insurance! We fought and we fought with this company so much, I thought I was going to have a stroke! They would add fees and charges without even telling us, or letting us know what they were for.

Finally we just said that was enough. Our creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. wasn't good enough at the time to refinance, so we just let it go and bought a home elsewhere.

So if you ever buy a home, whether it be site-built or mobile, make sure it's put in the contract that you don't want your contract sold to Vanderbilt.

I've heard of certain mortgage companies doing that before. It's just a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; , they want to sell you the insurance and they will, one way or another. It's a shame that companies get by with this. Did you report them to the Better Business Bureau of your state? You should have if you didn't.

Yeah, IndyMac Bank did that to us. They also tricked us into signing a variable rate mortgage when we thought it was a fixed rate. I know we should have taken time to read it but we believed what the loan officer was telling us and signed it. Our payments went from a great monthly price to a humongous price we couldn't afford. We tried to work it out with them to no avail so we finally just gave up and gave them the house. It was the house I had grown up in and I hated to leave but we had no choice. I was a sucker and they were crooks.

No, I didn't report them, but I know I should have. But I did do a report about them on Bad Business Bureau (www.badbusinessbureau). It's a consumer-ran website, where ordinary people can go in and read about companies with bad business practices, and then write their own story about a company, if they wish.

Bad Business Bureau has soooooooooo many stories about people being jilted by Vanderbilt. That's why I warn not to do business with them and make sure they don't get your mortgage contract.

Mortgage companies are becoming worse than insurance companies! No wonder the economy is as bad as it is as mortgage and insurance companies are right up there with banks as far as being vital cornerstones for moving money.
