Is Survey Doctor legit?
The Google adsense for the Igotgot forums frequently displays a link to a site called TheSurveyDoctor.com and the ad claims you are able to earn 40 dollars per hour with no startup fees required.
Has anyone here had any experience with The Survey Doctor, and do they work as advertised or is it a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; ?
Since I am constantly looking for more work and ways to make more money, I can only hope it is legit...but I am expecting people to say otherwise.
Thanks in advance everyone.

I have been using Survey Doctor as well, and cannot find out where to log into my account. I don't have any way of knowing if I have money there or not. I also do not like to have to send a confirmation page to prove that I signed up with a company. Shouldn't they have an automatic response system to do this? I really don't like his company and have not received any payments from them at all...........
Actually, Survey Doctor doesn't work the way other survey sites do--it's more of a paid-survey-site directory rather than a site that offers those surveys directly. Their one really good feature is that they will pay you $13 if you register for all of the sites on their survey-site list--that's about a dollar a site, and most of them are decent survey sites you'd want to sign up for anyway. (That page is here: http://www.thesurveydoctor.com/usa/payout.htm) Considering what you're being paid, that part's a good deal, and although I was understandably skeptical, they really did pay out on that part, through PayPal and about as promptly as they say they will. (If you're already registered with any of those sites, you can just paste in proof of that, like your login screen or whatever.)
That's the most useful thing about the site, though. Based on everything they say, you'd think they would be carefully screening their recommended sites to see what's actually legit, mostly because...that's their claim. To a certain extent this is true. But Panda Research, one of the sites on their list, is total crap; it lists surveys with huge payouts, and when you click, you find out they aren't even remotely close to being surveys but the kinds of trial offers you can get paid for at sites like InboxDollars. The difference is that the ones on Panda are even less legit, they promise more, and they deliver nothing. From what I've heard, Panda is notorious for not paying its members, and the e-mails it sends about "survey" opportunities are straight-up spam. I'd still advise signing up for it just to get the $13, but don't actually use it. Delete your account once you get Survey Doctor's money, maybe.
Survey Doctor's other main service is sending its members e-mails about survey opportunities. Sometimes these are useful. More often they direct you either to sites already in their list (i.e., ones you probably signed up for already if you're getting those e-mails), to scammy sites like Panda Research, or to the kinds of FREE* IPOD!!! offers you see all the time in banner ads. And they always say they're URGENT and that it's a "great offer for our members!" Which...okay, sure. But it's disappointing that a site promising to deliver only legit, decently-paying survey sites still ends up running the same shticks with the same lines as everybody else.
Hey I am looking to work from home doing surveys or anything really ... and I am just wondering which surveys do you do that are legit and you can actually make money ?
Thanks
Survey Doctor is the only one I ever tried and it had my hopes up. It actually worked for me and gave me a few bucks. I have heard horror stories about the others out there and that led me to stay with Survey Doctor for a long time.
Can anyone suggest any paid survey companies that actually do pay and are legit? I'm not talking about earning an unreasonable amount of money, but simply earning a decent rate for time expended.
I would like information on legit programs as well. I am not looking for get rich quick, but would love to do some work for 3-5 hours a day from home on my computer.
Are these guys still around? How much do they pay?
