No surprise. As what has happened is that she paid for the information only. No one can guarantee you a work at home job and the ones that I have done were not in that form. I work from home running my own business taking odd jobs from many clients. Some companies and other individuals. But you have to realize it is business and work you do that is on a 1099 or any basis such as this is really your own business and you will not be working for anyone else.
I have been to this site and they do not guarantee that anyone will get a job from the listings, as they would not be able to do this as they are not the company. So you buy on and contact the companies on your own. There is no link between the two other than sohojobs website selling the information.
I worked with this site a long time ago and have gotten great leads from them that worked out and brought me work. I am not sure how they are now, because I have built a small business and now all work comes from word of mouth.
What does this site promise exactly? I was just on this site earlier today but it is vague about what it does. So I do an internet search for the site and nothing but scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit;
busting sites come up. Is SoHoAcronym for Small Office, Home Office. a scam?
This site promises nothing but leads to real work at home jobs. It's well worth the investment if you realize that these are jobs that you have to apply to, not pay us the money and we will give you a job.
I have found that most work at home jobs listed on Monster and Career Builder are scams, such as rebate processing (which people have gone to jail for), MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline). or affiliate companies. The jobs listed on SOHOAcronym for Small Office, Home Office. are nothing like that. They are legit companies looking for workers.
If you do decide to join, please use my id - se8pdsm as it does help me to lengthen my membership time with them. Although I have found employment because of them, I do not want my membership to lapse should I start looking for other companies to supplement the part time job that I found.
Here's the truth about SOHOjobs.org. It is not a work at home company. It is, however, a service that assists you in finding legit work at home opportunities that are very difficult to find. Many scams look legit and they are becoming increasingly difficult to determine if they are real or not.
SOHO does not send "packages" they email you a user id and password to access the site. It is up to you how you use the site.
Yes, you still have to apply to the jobs.
Yes, there is a lot of competition for these jobs, so it may take some time to get hired (for me it was a couple of weeks)
No, it wont work if you don't view the forums, submit to the forums, and apply for the jobs.

This site promises to give you access to thier membership only areas where work at home jobs are posted and refreshed every week. They do not guarantee employment and it really bothers me when people expect a job paying a ton of money will just land in their lap. When ever you see a posting offering an extreme amount of money with little or no experience, you can be sure it is a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit;

With SOHOjobs.org, you find jobs in industries such as Accounting, online teaching, marketing telemarketing, customer service and many other professions that you can apply to to work at home.
I invested in the 6 month membership and was able to find employment through their listings (just as if it was a monster.com for the work at home community). It is a community of people that work from home with real job offerings. That's it!
It looked a little vague to me as well. I think folks are looking for "something for nothing" and SOHOjobs.org kinda looks like a "something for nothing" site.
They don't make any promises on the site, but they sure make is sound/read like a promising venture. I'm sure more people will be disappointed than pleased with the listings on SOHO. Kudos to pdsmith for being diligent in the pursuit of a job from home. Most people are not going to go through as much as you did and will feel the site is a huge ripoff.
I am sorry that you feel as though it is a something for nothing site. You are right - many people are looking for "something for nothing". The thing with SOHOjobs.org is you have to be willing to utilize the resources that they give you to be successful. You can't click on the link and "instantly make money", you actually have to work, just as if it was a job that you did outside of the home. There is the application process at these companies, interview and finally hiring processes that need to be followed.
The thing I like the most is that there are so many employers that can be accessed from one place, making home job hunting much easier. I would compare it to a monster.com or careerbuilder type of site, just for home based workers. You can't click on a job link on either of those sites and be instantly employed either.
I think so many people out there see the "make $200 per day doing nothing" type of sites and actually think that it's an easy way to make money, unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. With SOHOjobs,org, you get the listings (some of which are exclusive to SOHOjobs) and then you have to do the adult thing and actually land a job.
