Security Deposit on Rental Van

How much is the typical amount asked for this? There is a company locally who is asking a huge deposit, and it makes me wonder if they are just doing it to make it easier to rip people off. They are a new company in the last month.

I don't think so , where is the office of the company ? What is the deposit like any way ? You will be having the right and that will have some papers with it .

The most I have ever paid for keeping a truck locally from U-haul is $80. So anything more than that I would wonder why they need so much. After all you are paying rental prices for the truck and if they are legit they will be able to answer very easily.

Security deposit for van like stuff is here around $85. But beware there are tons of such agencies which are always in a mood to loot their customer. All they do is just charge some extra charges showing various other discrepancies.

Take up your phone book and check around my dear. In these days where communication is so free, there is no reason you should get caught up in a situation like this. Get the best price and make sure to get as much details as possible.
