Scammed by love
I recently watched one of those on TV court cases. A lady who was about 45 was scammed, so she stated by a 24 year old "toy" as she called him. They met when he was selling his own music CD's, and gave her his # on a CD she had bought. She ended up buying him tons of things, but is it really a scam when she was doing it willfully. I watched the entire scene, and the judge didn't think so either, she dismisses the case. But it makes me wonder how some can be so blind, but then again, love is blind isn't it?

I don't think she is being scammed either. She just loves the guy so much to the point that she already doesn’t know her boundaries. I think the guy is just doing his job as a businessman.
Its the woman's fault for making the boy as her "pet". The boy is just taking advantage of the fact that the lady is very much in love with him. So there is no scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; in this scenario although these scenario is oftentimes done because of blinded love.
I really do not want to believe that anybody could be so ignorant to what is going on. I suppose some people are just blind when they think they are in love. I don't think she was being scammed, I think she was just being used.
I think its stupid when woman or men for that matter fall for such younger people!
Its ovbious there only out for what they can get!
If a young guy falls for a much older woman you can normally figure out what they want its not the good lucks is it!
Its the cash or big house or no need to get a job reasons and the same goes for men!
You might think it's stupid, but some people genuinely love the other person. It's not a matter for other people to judge.
Even if it does work that way, if one is happy thinking that somebody is in love with them, and they never know the difference, I don't see the harm. If they only witness the "love" the other person shows, is it really a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; ?
It is a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; because surely they know there only after what they can get!
Why else would he/she want the other person!
I know this sounds pretty harsh but seriously a tall blonde skinny girl wouldnt fall madly in love with say a balding rich fat bloke who runs own business!
Is it still a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; if they earn the money? I'm sure in some of the cases where it is a "money grabber" type deal, and not all are, the older person knows about it and wants to share the rest of their life with this person rather than be alone.
This was the feeling I got when reading this, too. I'm sure he saw the opportunity to privately scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; this woman old enough to be his mother... but good gracious, what's she doing playing with this "toy" in the first place? Sounds to me like she wanted to smother him with gifts so that he'd stick around perhaps? Maybe it was when he decided to move on that she took it to court.
I don't think this type of situation is really love, and only the most naive of people would think it is. (Of course, I know love can exist between people of different ages.)
This lady wanted a boy toy - a young, handsome, virile man to have some fun with and show off to her friends. The guy wanted the gifts. It's a business arrangement as old as time itself.
I can see how these things would come about because of loneliness on the older person's part. It's hard to give any sort of blanket judgement on the whole 'scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; ' because really, it can vary from case to case. The story told above though is definitely ridiculous. What was she thinking going to court and actually expecting to get restitutions from something which was her own bad choice?
