Please Be Wary

Please Be Wary

A few months ago I signed up to get a free cash loan through a website. The company offers a "No CreditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. Check" guaranteed cash loan.
They had asked for my bank account information which I did not see a problem with, as they really seemed legitimate.
A couple days later I found a withdraw had been taken out of my account for $50!
I was furious when I found out the company I had applied through had charged me for a debit card of some sort. (Which I did NOT sign up for)
I then went to the Better Business Site to report them, and low and behold there they were already listd with a ton of different aliases.
I do not remember what the name of th company is, but they are still out there.
Mhy point is to please, before you do any kind iof business like this or give out your information to anyone, take 5 minutes to look them up at the Better Business Bureau, and save yourself some time, headaches and $$.
I have definately learned my lesson!

I don`t understand how they`ve been able to charge your account with no permission, I believe this isn`t possible. Anyway what is the url of the website that give such loans, I am just curious to check it out. I`m glad to head that you have learnt your lesson, next time I`m sure you won`t give your account details to anyone out there on the internet, there are just too many scammers.

I do understand that your case is different but form what I have seen loans are all scams and I would not trust and loan company again.

I don't fully understand myself. It seems it might be a new scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; out there now a days? But I do agree, always check the Better Business Bureau or BBB before doing any type of business. Now a days, I always check the BBB before purchasing any service from Web Hosting to using small services such as printing businesses online. You cannot really trust any business in today's modern world. People are always out there to get you and its in your interest to never trust anyone.

There are a number of phishingThe act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information. scams out there that acquire personal information and then use it for various nefarious purposes

Well, what did the company say when you contacted them about the $50. Did you get the money back? You just left us hanging here without fully telling the story. This leads me to think that there was more to it then you have listed. Why can't you remember the name? How do we know that we may not have been contacted by the very company you are trying to warn us about if you do not give a name.

What are you meaning here when you say that Loans are all scams? I would really like to know. I have had several loans over the years and they were not bad at all. So if you could explain that would be greatly appreciated. thanks

No matter what is addressed to people they are still falling for phishingThe act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information. scams right and left. I can only agree with your statement and tell people that they need to be careful about who they give information to and if you like giving information out then you need to stop doing it or leave the internet for a while.

You have learnt lesson once so from next time do not give your personal details to any site which is fraud. My one friend also suffered.Once he registered with one site they say that if we will give creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. card number they will give some bonus, but they did not give bonus instead they deduct 2$ from credit card.

I remember reading a post on a business forum that a company had scammed the person and she lost money there although the business website was certified by BBB. Previously, I used to feel assured once the business was either registered with BBB or US chamber of commerce. Now this could be an isolated incident , but it made me think about the criteria that BBB uses while approving a business.

With this thread, it occurred in my mind that I have given my account number to Moneybookers to get verified. Do you think my information in them would be safe? I would not like this thing happen to me.
