My poor Dad
My dad is 81. He lives alone and I am always frightened by what he tells phone solicitors. Once, he was giving them his social security number when I walked in the house. He is just so naive. I am so surprised he has not been really taken yet by a phone scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; , poor man.

Yes. It is unfortunate that the elderly are susceptible by these telemarketers. They don't care who they take advantage of, or how they do it. Hopefully if something does happen, you will be able to fight it on his behalf.
It's good you go by on a regular basis. Constantly ask him who he talked to today on the phone so you can keep and eye out for anything suspicious. Scammers have no heart and don't mind taking candy from babies!
Places that make these types of calls most times never ask for that sort of thing, the legit places anyways. Now those who like to call random people and steal their info. that is another story. I would be very wary of it.
