Mow Your Lawn?

Mow Your Lawn?

I had a guy (an adult if you believe it) stop by my house the other day and offer to mow my lawn for $20. This wasn't a bad price and I said maybe. He was driving a car and I asked him where his equipment was. He said he wanted to use my lawn mower and weed eater and I would have to pay him $20 on top of that for my little postage stamp yard. I just said "beat it buster" and sent him on his way. Of all things! Talk about nerve. Use my equipment, use my gas, and then charge me $20 for a little yard that doesn't take 5 minutes to mow at the max. Anyone have any yard care stories?

I am seeing a lot of this now as well. Contractors with no tools! You supply the project, the tools, and he provides the labor! WTF? The economy is so bad now it isn't even funny!

Yes, it is bad. If they want to use your stuff to do the project with then look out. They most of the time won't do a good job and if they do they want to charge an arm and a leg for it. I don't like to hire anyone if I don't know them now. I've been ripped off so many times with someone doing this, I've become gun shy.
