How can you make sure that someone is fully legit before you attempt to go into business with them? It seems this is one of the newest schemes going on lately, and I have a friend that was just offered to be a "partner" in a new type of company that will help people get into their first homes.

Well, you have the internet where you can search for people on a national or global level. You can go to your local courthouse, chamber of commerce, or BBB to check out people in your local area. There are a bunch of resources you can use and not all of them cost money. Much of the crime people have committed is public knowledge and many public records are online.
