monster.com Lost My Information

I logged into monster.com today after they emailed me matching jobs for my resume. Well, I haven't received anything in a while from monster.com, so I decided to login. Hmmm, my ID and password did not work from when I set it about 4-6 months ago. So I tried 3 times and Monster locked me out of my account. The sent me a new password and I logged in with the new reset password. Odd, but it worked.

So I am in the site now and I have to reset my password. I tried my old password, but Monster would not take the password. I now have to use characters and numbers in the password which is a change from the way monster.com used to work. Ok, so I set the new password using their pesky password rules.

Now, I finally get to apply for the job 30 minutes later only to find out my resume is outdated. Wait! I just updated the resume about 4 months ago but the resume shows the last update in 2007! WTF! Why did monster.com revert my resume back to a resume from 2 years ago without even warning me or notifying me as to why they were changing it. Well, no need for me ever to go back to monster.com. Do you guys know of any good job sites for engineering and information technology?

monster.com was recently hacked and I do believe user information was either stolen, destroyed, or altered in some way. Maybe monster.com had to restore a backup copy of your account and reset your password in order to recover from the attack.

I gave up on monster.com a few years back and started using dice.com and careerbuilder.com.
