Medical transcription training sites

does anyone know if these are legit? I've looked into doing transcription, and some of these sites offer courses that cost as much as $1000! But then they say they work hard to place their graduates.

I've talked to people who actually do transcription - some say that they went through the course and it was helpful, especially with medical terminology. Others say they advertised themselves and got started that way, never took a course. I have a good working knowledge of medical terminology already, so I wonder if taking the course is a waste of money.

If you want to take a course in Medical Transcription, make sure you do it from a real school. Research a lot and get different opinions about the school you are interested in. I'm sure there are some scams out there. I've never actually heard of one that promises a job after 'graduation.'

I know several women who have taken courses for medical transcription. Two were nurses already and wanted to change careers. They got jobs working at home because of their medical background and experience. The other women who just took the course and had no experience could not get a job at home no matter what. One got a job in an office doing transcription. It is not easy.

Has anyone tried one and have a report for which is legit or which is the best to use?? Give us info if you have.

I did a search for lan logics ripoff and I get to this site and read your horror stories. I work for a grocery store chain for Lan Logics and they are the worse people I have ever seen at paying their bills. I made up my mind to stop going to their calls since they pay whenever they want to pay. I cut my losses and moved on. Can we mention the names of the companies these boys do work for so those companies know Lan Logics isn't paying technicians? Or do we write letters to the heads of the companies? I feel the last thing left for me to do is to let the company know that they are dealing with a company in Lan Logics who doesn't pay people for the work done!
