Medical Insurance "Gap" Policies

Medical Insurance "Gap" Policies

Seniors whose medical bills are well covered by a combination of Medicare, Medicaid, retirement health plans, or other insurance are being signed up for unnecessary health insurance policies that supposedly cover only those items and charges not covered by the other policies. This "gap" insurance comes with several limitations, deductibles and exclusions which make them of little value to the consumer, yet they result in large debits to the consumers' bank accounts each month.

My grandmother was hit with this one! Loved ones need to help keep elder people in their family straight on their bills. Look over all their policies on a regular basis. It can be taxing, but it must be done or your elders stand to be taken advantage of and lose lots of money. The people on the other ends of the scams do not care about the elderly people they are taking advantage of so we must care!
