KFC's New Grilled Chicken
We went to KFC last night to get supper to bring home. We ordered two-two piece grilled chicken meals which were supposed to be $3.99 each and included two sides. We ordered an extra side of baked beans and no drinks and it came up to $12 and change. I didn't really think about it at the time, but when I got home and looked at the receipt they had charged me $4.99 for each meal! I haven't been back to talk to them but I intend to soon. I don't know if they charged more for the pieces we ordered or if the meals had gone up and they just hadn't taken the sign down. I hate to be charged more than I expect without an explanation.

I usually don't go back to complain about it if I did not notice it at the time. That sort of thing will have me checking receipts right away especially if I go there again. It's pretty easy to have something entered into the system incorrectly. You would be surprised at how often it happens.
Women usually take the stuff back or call to complain. Most of the time, the manager will take your name and offer you some coupons or free food the next time you come to the place for a meal. It doesn't help the current time when you have been cheated but does guarantee the restaurant you will probably return for 1 more meal.
Have you heard that KFC is no longer accepting the coupons for free grilled chicken meals. They've had commercials on all day yesterday, supposedly from the CEO of KFC. It just says there overwhelmed right now with requests (coupons) for the free dinners, but that if you bring the coupons in, or log on to their website, that they would give you a raincheck.
I personally think it's a crappy way to do business. I haven't tried the grilled chicken yet and now, I doubt if I will.

Wasn't Oprah Winfrey offering coupons for free KFC food? Are they still honoring Oprah's coupons?
How stupid is this? Why would they put out those coupons if they could not afford to honor them? I am really unimpressed. Someone running the show there is incompetent.
You know, I really don't know. At one time, they were giving away one piece of grilled chicken to anybody who asked for it. I'm not sure if that's what they meant or not.
If I'm not mistaken, Oprah Winfrey PAID for the chicken dinners she was offering, so surely they would honor those.
I don't know, either way, it's still a crappy way to do business. I like Popeye's better anyway.
I think the whole idea of Kentucky Grilled Chicken is kinda bogus anyway. I may be the only who feels this way. But Kentucky Fried Chicken should sell Fried Chicken. The restaurant was founded on Colonel Sanders special recipe. It is called KFC for a reason. What, are we going to start calling it KGC?
I don't have any problem with them branching out a little. Seems logical since they are staying true to the same meat. Just different ways to prepare it. I rarely go there anyway. I find they are a bit pricey. Up here in Canada I far and away prefer Swiss Chalet or St. Hubert chicken.
I have always been partial to the original recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken. But, over the years it seems to have changed a bit. It doesn't taste as good as it did. I have found that their chicken itself is smaller and not as plump. I guess that's what happens when you mass produce chickens.
I've heard bad things about how KFC grows their chickens now and it has led to poorer tasting chicken. I used to love their Extra Crispy but have stopped eating there altogether.
