HYIP investment scams
Has anyone here been scammed by any of the high yield investment programs , better known as HYIPs , that promise to pay very high interest rates on a daily basis or after a week ? Almost of of them use the e-gold payment processor for the transactions and as E-gold doesn't have any identification verification process , it's difficult to trace back the website owner or account holder.
I was new to this kind of investment a few years back and decided to do a test spend. I didn't lose my entire investment , but enough to tell me that I am sure to lose my money the moment I commit to such investments. Has anyone else been scammed by HYIPs ?

I have tried almost every investment scams in the internet because I want to get rich in just one night. But the thing is I only invest a maximum of $5 on each site. Some of them returned money after I requested a payment but they never lasted for a long time. I have been scammed by these HYIP's but I have learned my lesson. It's really hard lesson to new people who wants to have income from the internet and its very tempting with the percentage, sometimes even 200% of your money, that they promise to return. But when the day when your investment matured, you will get a "Server Not Found" or "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" after entering the website and the investment is gone.
That's so true. They always have some excuse or the other to stall the payments be it issues with the site due to too many members registering or their site being under a distributed denial of service attack. When I was first introduced to it and hadn't invested myself, I had believed them and was surprised that long time members were screaming scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; . It was only later when I researched other forums and some of the blacklisted sites that I realized how wrong I was to have expected them to return and pay the dues to their members. Too bad that it's hard to keep such sites out of the internet.
I don't have much knowledge about this , but I know there are internet companies that promise to pay staggering interests on your money and then disappear within days. I don't think any legal company can ever continue paying that kind of on a sustained basis. It's just too good to be true.
I can't say I have been scammed by this type of programme because I have never been brave enough to try it. I figured if this really was the truth they would invest the money themselves and get all of that "unbelievable" return.
I dont think I have ever really heard of these types, online that is. Most I know are offline type scams. Good note about the e-gold I will have to let some people know about this.
I have lost a fair amount of money in a couple of these schemes. After two losses, I reluctantly opted out. My friend who introduced me, continues to this day, trying scheme after scheme to recoup his money.
These schemes lok so good and I have heard of people making quite a bit of money off them for a time. The onl thing that has saved me in the past is that I have never had the money to invest - I literally had nothing to lose.
HYIP's seem to be all over the internet for those wanting to work from home and while it seems some are decent most that I have researched are not. I never fully understood how they work but it seems more HYIP's are like MLMMultilevel Marketing is selling products by using independent distributors and allowing these distributors to build and manage their own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying, and training others to sell products. The distributors' compensation includes their own sales and a percentage of the sales of their sales group (downline).'s.
