Have you ever been tempted to become a scam creator?

I am almost sure no one will write here that they are doing that even if they are. But there are people who decide to do just to get back the money they were scammed out of. If the money is good, I know they won't stop.

I agree no one will probably admit it, but hey it's the net and people have some anonimity or so they think! I personally wouldn't be able to sleep if I though I was scamming someone...but we know there are a plenty that would......

I confess...

that I could never do such a thing as scamming other people. I know how hard to earn an honest living then just be taken by some scammers. Nobody will tell that they wanted to scam just for the money for they will immediately known, right? Scammers do there best not to be known so that they could do it over and over again.

Nope, it's just not for me. I do not think you will get many scandalous answers on this forum, since pretty much everybody here is anti-scams. But I have not even thought about deceiving people for money.

Whether it was by scamming or purse snatching or just being careless in the stock market, I think that anyone who's felt the heartache of losing money wouldn't hurt someone else in that way! Even when straits are dire, there are ways to pull out of financial difficulties *honestly* without feeling like a slimeball with some effort and hard work.

I agree that you probably won't get anyone admitting it! But seriously, I would never do that due to my moral code, but I do get frustrated by the whole thing. It is really relatively easy to scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; people to get some quick money - especially on online auctions and such. And I'm sure a whole bunch get away with it.

I couldn't do it. I know this is the internet and I could confess if I thought I would but I've always maintained a pretty stiff moral code toward ripping other people off. I try to live clean as much as possible and wouldn't feel comfortable even having or spending money I got by being bad to others.

I was tempted and temptation won! After being scammed by these "work at home and make a fortune" ads, I retaliated by participating in the fraud myself. I sent out these "Stuff Envelopes for Money" ads and a bunch of people bit.

I would tell them to send $2 S&H and a SASE to receive the info on making money stuffing envelopes. I thought everyone would be smart enough to see that there is no need to pay S&H if you are also sending a SASE! You are paying postage twice!

I felt horrible and eventually quit. But I made a lot of money preying on people's desire to be rich. Very, very sad.

Well seeing as everyone else does it why not?!! But.. one I'm not intelligent enough to come up with a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; :) and two I'm afraid terribly afraid of karma and three... easy come easy go.

Once you get scammed, you do feel like retaliating and becoming a scammer too. You have to fight that temptation though. I know, easier said than done, but you really do. Like that one ad on this site says, I have been scammed 27 times! But I have still resisted becoming a scammer myself. I join sites like this one and try to help others avoid the traps I jumped into.
