Freebies

Freebies

What about when you see these really great offers on the internet "Get a Free Notebook" blah, blah. You get to the site and then you have to give your name and address to every Tom, Dick, and Harry out there that will sell your information to every other scammer out there. Beware! Don't sign up for everything that's free!

No way to win with these offers. You will pay for the free laptop.

Proof is in the pudding. People run borderline legal scams and have big companies participating on the backend. If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

Yes, now they are "giving" away small things like a bottle of perfume, cosmetics, etc. They're getting cheap thinking people will get this stuff and give out their bank account information and email address, etc. This is one way they get all of your personal information to sell to everyone. They clean out your bank account and then sell you out too. What a shame!

Those types of offers always come at a price. Often they'll make you go through three or more offers before you can get the freebie, too, so tons of people get your "confirmed" opt-in so it won't qualify as spam. Real freebies are out there but the only thing that should be required is your name and address or email.

Yeah, I know. I learned that the hard way. I love to get freebies but I finally learned the hard way that the truly free only need your name, address and email address. I may be slow but I finally learn not to be a sucker.
