Free Prescription Meds

Free Prescription Meds

Consumers are receiving letters and other messages telling them they can obtain all their prescription medicines for free, guaranteed! After consumers pay the requested fee set forth in the messages, they receive application forms for pharmaceutical companies' free prescription drug assistance programs. Admission into these programs is not automatic and consumers' applications often are rejected.

How much is the fee and where are these drugs coming from? I mean I know you can get Rx stuff online but does it say anything about where they come from?

The fees vary depending upon the scammer. We have seen as low as a few hundred and as high as almost one thousand dollars.

I assume that the fee is not returned when the consumer gets refused? This is one of the typical scams that hit older people and its just horrible because of their already tight finances and often high medical costs.

This is a new online thing that I haven't heard of. It's really not surprising, though, given the depths of lowness that some people will sink to in order to get a few more dollars from innocent people.
