Football Camp Scam

Football Camp Scam

I paid $250 for my son to go to a summer football camp supposedly put on by the state's largest football university. I sent the school's rep a $250 check and about 2 months later sent the remainder of the payment for the football camp. Well, my son is still sitting here in the house waiting to go to a camp because the school said I never paid for the camp! Not only did they say I never paid, but the actual amount to attend the camp is a couple thousand more than their rep told me! I think they guy must be a scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; artist using the school as bait for his scam. Be careful when paying for all these summer camps! Call the schools or organizations directly and forget about dealing with an individual representative. I am in the hole $2250 for being trusting and gullible.

I heard of a similar scamA confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; that popped up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and the suspect was using the University of Michigan as the school putting on the camp. One lady lost over $4000 to the guy and her kid still wasn't able to go to the camp. The school said she still owed the price of the camp. Best advice is to get in touch with the camp and its directors directly. Forget about the guy walking the street promoting the camp.
