Dollar General

I recently bought some shower curtain liners from Dollar General and within two days I noticed they had a rip in both of them. They were only $4 each and I know DG is a discount store. But, I still want good merchandise for a great price. Is that too much to ask?

Not too much! I would take them back to Dollar General. I shop at the dollar stores and don't expect much in the way of quality. However, 2 days is not enough for shower curtains! I could see 2 months, but not 2 days.

I agree with Fergie. Anytime I spend money on a purchase, I expect that product to perform as presented. Obviously, a shower curtain is something that will be used frequently. At least, I hope so. Therefore, it should hold up to many uses of being pushed back and forth.

2 days! Wow, I thought I bought some cheap ones. I bought a new shower curtain from Wal-Mart for a few bucks and as you all have stated, if you don't pay much, you can't expect much. But they have at least stayed up for more than 2 days. What I hate is I can't seem to clean the freaking soap scum off the shower curtain! My expensive shower curtain I had before used to be cleanable. I can't seem to find any chemicals to clean this cheap curtain.

I had the same thing happen to me. I bought a shower curtain at DG for a few bucks, but I think it lasted a week before it ripped. I took mine back, got my money back and bought a better (and more expensive one) at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I think this has happened to me as well but it was a long time ago and I realized that is just something you can not skim on. For me I will try to save money but not at the expense of having something that important die so quickly.
