Dell Computers Cheated Me

Dell Computers Cheated Me

I ordered a laptop from Dell and the ad said the computer was for 0% for 1.5 years. I thought that was OK since that would give me 18 months to pay the laptop off without worrying about any type of interest.

Well, the laptop shows up and works great. However, an invoice shows up about a week after I got the laptop with a 23% interest rate! WTF? I ignored it at first because I knew I responded to the 0% interest rate ad and thought the 23% interest rate was a mistake or oversight by Dell Financial Services.

Nope, it was not a mistake! I sent a payment into Dell and I thought all was fine. Nope! I got a second statement with a huge amount added to the price due to the interest charge! WTF? I called Dell Financial Services and the bums swear they can't help me out. I never heard of no one being able to help me out! All you have to do is click the buttons on your Dell computer and it will remove this mistake you made on my order! I am truly ticked off and I don't recommend a Dell computer to anyone! Dealing with Dell Financial Services is a joke!

I vowed to never buy from Dell again. They never sent my $150 rebate! I waited and waited and waited. 2 months and no rebate. Talking to Dell customer support is useless. I totally hate these guys now.

My church ordered a Dell from their website and the basket showed monitor upgrades, a free printer, and a discount the church would qualify to receive on shipping.

Well, the free shipping was honored, but nothing else was! The free printer never showed up and the monitor is a lot smaller than the specs of the monitor upgrade on the website. What is up with Dell and all this false advertisingThe use of false or misleading statements in advertising.? Is Michael Dell still involved with this company? The larger they get, the worse they get!

I bought the Dell 3010cn printer and you want to talk about a hunk of junk!! This printer has been nothing but problems from day 1! It had gotten so bad Dell tried to start charging me to send it back to them for warranty repair! The printer streaks and there is absolutely no way to fix it. Dell has sent replacement fusers, toner, transfer rollers, etc and nothing has fixed this printer's streaking problem. My friend has the exact same printer and the exact same streak! Now Dell won't even take the printer back stating it is out of warranty. I thought the warranty would start over every time they sent me a new printer to replace the one they couldn't fix with all those replacement parts! Dell sucks big time.

Now that is bad, Dell is cheating churches too! I feel bad about mentioning how they cheated me out of my big flat panel monitor! The website clearly stated I was to get an upgraded monitor! Well, the PC shows up with the monitor that was supposedly upgraded! Why say I am getting the upgraded monitor when all I will receive is the original monitor? Dell was no help in trying to solve the issue. They put me on hold, transferred me, put me on hold, transferred me ..........

I gave up and accepted getting the "upgraded" original monitor. Sucks looking at this little monitor when I thought I was getting a bigger one.

What I hate is I was actually recommending Dell to my friends and coworkers! They told me some of their horror stories and I could not believe it! Dell not honoring rebates. Dell Financial Services trying to give them interest rates different than the promotional rates, equipment that shows up at their doors not matching their orders, etc. I truly could not believe a company like Dell was actually pulling these stunts. What happened to Dell?

My friends were all happy with the equipment Dell stuck them with, but many times it was not what they were expecting.

I bought this hunk of junk about 2-3 years ago and it has that blasted streak down each and every page! I have paid 3 different printer service techs $80-$120/hr and neither of them have been able to fix the thing. Dell sent parts when it was under warranty. The parts may work for 3000 prints, but would die and the streaks would come back. Fusers, transfer rollers, new toner ... nothing works.

I will never buy another Dell. My monitor is NOT the monitor promised by the website. I haven't had any problems out of the machine, but it's not what my shopping cart said I would receive!

Been there, done that. Dell Financial Services stuck me too! I went ahead and paid the entire balance (ouch!) to avoid the interest rate they set for my 0.0% financing. I would have paid for the computer 2-4 times if I had not went ahead and bit the bullet and paid in full. They were not even willing to work with me when I called to ask about the 0.0% financing. This was months ago so maybe they got better by now ....

I never had problems with getting what I ordered from Dell but I didn't do financing either. Since I ordered online, I had an invoice listing exactly what I was going to get and I would have freaked if I had not received what I was promised. However, Dell has the worst customer service if something goes wrong with the computer later. Tech support told me one thing was wrong and to order a new fan. I did that and installed it as they told me and that wasn't even the issue. They said that I could send the fan back but would have been out the shipping charges (which were almost as much). I flipped on them because this was something they told me to do! In the end, the whole system was fried less than 2 years after purchase and they wouldn't do a thing. I'll never order from Dell again and I've told everyone I know not to bother.

The only time they are worth talking to is if you have a business account from what I have heard. I had a dell lappie awhile back and it was of course one of the types that was to catch on fire randomly, I unplugged it and caulked it in the bin.
