Confusion

Confusion

I am not sure what the real word for it is other than confusing the heck out of me. A friend tried a missing people place and they have a no find no fee thing on their website. Well they found someone but it was not the person they were looking for and still charged me without doing a refund at all. What are these catches called?

Oh I don't know the term but I'm sure they ALWAYS find someone in order to charge you. I mean how are you to know if another person with the exact info is them or not? They are some tricky people out there.

Now that is cold! I guess you have to read the fine print to keep from being got by a loophole like this one. I'm sure there is a name for this particular type of "gotcha" mess, but I can't think of what the name is.

What if maybe you are looking for a Michael Smith and they find one but its not the one you are looking for? With something like that I could see the reason for a clause being made.

One person said ' the devil is in the details'. I think these people make sure they put these information in the details and trust that you won't read them like many of us don't.

I used to answer phones for cell phone customer care company and the truth is most people have no idea what is in their contract. Worse neither do the people who answer the phone. I had someone with a dispute with my company which was very unfair. I suggested he pursue it through an independent arbiter. It is in every cell phone contract in the US. At least it was five years ago. He decided to go that route and wanted to have the paperwork sent to him. I had to show my supervisor how to do it because he had never heard of it before.

What a shame. I would go to a private investigator if you really want to find someone. Try to find a private investigator that someone you know has used or that has some legitimate credentials. It's a shame that they take advantage of people who are hurting or who really need to find someone desperately.
