Computers

I have wasted money on computers that just do not work right. I paid somebody to build me a computer. It was relatively cheap, but when I got it, it did not work. I took it back and he claimed to fix it. This time it worked for about a year before it gave up on me. I will only buy computers from big stores like Best Buy and Circuit City now.

It depends who you get to build it for you. I build many for friends / family. And things do go wrong some times, but they get much more help from me to fix it than they would from a big store.

So you are saying you only buy from big stores. Well let me tell you something. Things can and do go wrong with those as well. It usually happens after the 1 year warranty is up and then you are out just as you are with the builders. The only difference is you are out a lot more money. I think that there are many people jumping on the band wagon for building and you go to the right place you will get something great that will never have a problem.

Most problems come from parts being incompatible.

You feel that you were scammed because the person put together a faulty computer or because the components did not work right. You think that all computers are perfect if you buy them from a well known place. That amazes me.

Did I once mention that I thought computers were perfect from all big stores? No, I did not. I merely stated that I wasted a lot of money on a computer that did not work, because I was not smart about where I got it.

It appears to me Jewel that you did not mention they were perfect. And you are very correct when you say you have to be careful where you get them from. I agree with you on that. I was taken by someone who said they had been building them for years and yet they never worked right. I have since learned to build my own and it works great with no problems.

When you are having someone build you a computer, ask for references, check them. If you can go to a local store, and see if any of the techs there will build one for you theirself, on personal time of course. I couldnt just trust someone off the street for something like that, too many things can be hidden and installed when building a machine to chance it.

Never buy computers to an individual, especially if you do not have enough knowledge about computers. Buy only to legitimate stores that offer warranty. Those who sell their computer either have problem with it or really want to upgrade.

My friend says he have got a link through which he can bring me a computer with all the latest facilities and softwares for a very low sum.I, out of curiosity went to a well known dealer and inquired about what I had hear from my friend and thats when I came to know it to be a cheap low cost stuff.
