I often stay at Clarion for their reputable motels. I've never had an issue with any until I stayed at the one located in 4440 Airport Freeway Irving Texas. This motel is now known as the "Ramada" We reserved the room 1 month in advance for a 3 week stay as they have really nice weekly rates there. We were to pay in full 5 days in advance to receive the discount. Upon arrival things looked nice outside! We went inside which wasn't so bad looking but had a foul mildew odor. The first room we had was disgusting. The rug was filthy as was the bathroom. The next room was but a step up. Still yucky and we decided we would just see about getting our money back only to find out it was "non Refundable" DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! It was totally disgusting. I was planning a trip that way and was actually going to stay at that place until you have now just told me what you experienced. I have not booked anything so deciding on another place is in my best interest. I chose that place because it would be close to where I would be but I would rather pay more and be further away then to spend a week in a place that is scary and disgusting such as was mentioned. I cannot believe that they do not take better care even having the Ramada name.

I remember when the name meant something.
