Cheap doodads
I am absolutely tired now of seeing these doodads that as advertised, can do almost everything, including making up the bed. Y'know them - they are 'worth' $90 but they are only $9.99 each if you buy them now and they will even throw in an extra one for a buck. No sooner than I spring for my card and order it, it usually is nothing close to what was advertised. It might work once - and that's it.

Doodads huh? I never heard of them. Is it like an electronic? Or what? It usually is the case with these service announcement deals. Like I got 'The Bullet' for making shakes and cutting up food. It was the cheapest most complicated piece of crap ever!
There are all types of things and my sister got one this week that she learned about the hard way. That thing that takes the dead skin off your feet, hers worked the first day and then it died.
I have been 'got' several times with these too. I can never forget that cute handheld sewing machine that my girlfriend convinced me to buy for her. I was always suspicious about it. Well it worked fine and and she was stitching small curtains and so on. After that first episode, there never was a sequel.
Not once have I ordered something from one of the infomercials and have the product that shows up at my door perform like the product seen on TV. I watch the infomercials now and try to figure out where they are playing camera tricks or doing multiple takes to get the product to appear to perform the miracle. Total ripoffs. $100 product that they will sell for $19.95 and will give an extra one if you order withing the next 5 minutes with a creditMoney loaned or the ability of an individual or company to borrow money. card.

I don't order those "tv only" products. I look at it this way - if it actually worked as the commercial says, it would be in all the stores. Obviously the goal is to sell as many as possible so you would put a successful product where it could be bought easily.
In my area, there are actually "as seen on TV" stores and kiosks. My kids get so grossed out by the dead skin remover commercial when they clean out the device of all the dead skin. Gross.
I think these are what those sellers refer to as one time sells, at least to the person who orders them right? Doodads is a good name for it too, esp. when there are so many of the crazy things out there.
I won't buy anything like that advertised on TV. Now if I see it in the store and I like it, I'll get it. Wal-Mart has taken to carrying a certain number of these items but I have yet to buy anything.
