I find it hilarious when one of my friends buys a bootleg movie or music CD, only for them to find that it does not work. They complain about it, claiming that they got scammed.
I've never understood the idea behind being cheap and buying bootleg then fussing over the quality. You get what you pay for. You pay $2 for a movie not on DVD yet you're gonna get someone who taped it in theaters next to a whining baby. Thats just how life works.
Yeah this is always a little stupid. You break the rules-you are in essence scamming the film companies so why should you get off scot free and with a perfect movie? Yeah, in this case it is well deserved I think.
How do you burn bootleg DVDs? I downloaded a DVD from a torrent site and it claims it is the entire DVD although the movie is not even on DVD yet! As a matter of fact, the movie is not even in theaters yet! How do people do this stuff? Well, I downloaded the movie but I can not figure out how to burn it on my Linux machine.
Yup, I went to a flea market once and was looking around for some DVDs. I came across this lady who was selling DVDs obviously downloaded from the internet or TV. They didn't even have labels on them, just Sharpie titles written on them. She said she couldn't figure out why no one was buying (DUH)! I can't believe people sometimes!
I took part in a shopping night at a local school once, and the principal seemed to have no problem allowing a person to sell bootleg DVD's. My husband was horrified and demanded that the vendor put them away. Finally, the principal had a revelation that it was illegal and not a great idea. HELLO???
